In April, 2011 the southeast was hit by severe tornadoes resulting in over 200 deaths. I went to Alabama to do tornado damage repair work for AT&T. This is a link to photos I took while I was there.

At the end of July we took a vacation and drove to Maine. On the way to Maine we stopped in SC to see Carl & Janelle Moore (& family), friends of mine from my AF days. We also stopped in NC to visit Mike & Sherry Johnson, more AF friends. In Maine we stayed at the family camps on Tacoma Lakes and enjoyed our stay. The weather was excellent. We saw a lot of old friends and saw a lot of my relatives. We attended my 30th High School reunion while there. When we left Maine we drove to Little Rock, AR for out grand daughter, Scarlett's birthday. We enjoyed visiting with Trint, Harmony, and Scarlett. We did a lot of driving. Next time we'll fly.

In April I attended an annual gyro fly-in I go to in Wauchula, FL. I didn't have my own gyro to fly this year but I did go for a ride with a friend in his and I also went for a ride in a Powered Parachute. That was fun and I'd do it again but I'm not trading in my gyro anytime soon. Here's some photos from that trip:

We celebrated our Granddaughter Honour's 1st birthday at Ted and Holly's in Montgomery, AL. We had a great time. You can see photos of the party on the Photo Albums page.
